Crieff (map :use the zoom control on the map to view more area or more detail) is located in central Scotland (map), immediately west of Perth with its express rail links throughout the UK, and north of Dunblane, and therefore is convienent for transport by rail and road due to the proximity of major arterial routes. Set in the historic Perthshire countryside and enjoying extensive panoramic views of the surrounding mountains, the Crieff Hydro (picture above) is one of the premier hotels and resorts in the UK with extensive grounds and lesuire facilities.

Perth and Dunblane railway stations are served directly from Glasgow Queen Street and Edinburgh Waverley Railway Stations (timetables). Taxis are available from the Taxi Rank or from Crieff's Station Taxis on 01764 656200. Gleneagles railway station provides an additional option for rail travellers, but does not have the facilities (buses, taxis etc) offered by Perth. To get from Perth to Crieff the number 15 bus departs Perth (map) every hour with the journey taking ~45 minutes on average. Please refer to Nos 15 bus timetable Perth to Crieff and Crieff to Perth for more details

Glasgow and Edinburgh are about 1 hr drive from the Hotel. From the south the hotel is best approached on the A9/M9, then the A822 from Strathallan, just north of Dunblane, via Muthill, which becomes the Muthill road as one approaches the centre of Crieff, then becoming South Bridgend and then North Bridge Street after crossing the River Earn. Finally the 'A' road becomes Burrell Street and one turns off right onto Lodge Street continuing on High Street to turn left onto Hill Road which becomes Ferntower Road and take the left onto Ewanfield which leads to the hotel.

Glasgow (Abbotsinch), Edinburgh (Turnhouse) and Prestwick Airports offer wide range of internal and international air services. Some of the airlines with scheduled services into these airports include: easyjet, british airways, BMI British Midland, BMI Baby and Ryanair. There are regular (every 15min) connections by bus from Glasgow and Edinburgh airports into Glasgow Queen Street and Edinburgh Waverley Railways stations respectively. Prestwick airport is directly connected by train to Glasgow Central railways station which is a 10min walk from Queen Street Station.
